Experience Rates
Shipwreck salvaging is a low-intensity AFK training method. Experience rates vary by shipwreck type and setup:

Note: Higher-tier salvaging hooks provide faster gathering rates. Crewmates can be commanded to operate salvaging hooks for reduced experience.

Loot
Salvage collected from shipwrecks can be sorted at a salvaging station (found at most ports or built on your boat) to receive:
- Various planks (Larch, Shayzien Pine, Cedar, Rosewood) for shipbuilding
- Seeds (Hemp, Flax, Cotton, Camphor)
- Rare items (Rusty locket, Boat bottles, Broken compass, etc.)
- Rarely: Relics that can be turned in to Varrock Museum for kudos
- Schematics for advanced facilities and equipment
Sorting salvage awards half the original salvaging experience and takes 50.4 seconds per inventory.
Location
Shipwrecks spawn across various oceans. At each shipwreck site, 2-3 shipwrecks are available at any given time. Once salvaging begins on a shipwreck, a despawn timer starts - when it ends, that specific shipwreck will no longer be salvageable until it respawns.
Note: Some shipwrecks may be located in "hazardous waters" - ensure your ship meets the requirements (e.g., Barracuda shipwrecks require at least an oak mast to handle the Storm Tempor).
